Research on Saul Bass
This poster was interesting to me because of the two color theme with a eerie dramatic look through the lettering. Just two simple colors like black and yellow gives that eye-catching look.
With this classic movie, it gives the lead role lady a point in action, and she shows distress to someone behind her. Instead of two tone colors in the poster, there is about three to four colors. This is a classic poster!
I like this poster too from Saul Bass because of the simplicity. Two tone poster that just shows a woman made from an arm and head that is holding three balloons in front of her. This one is not as complex, but gives enough to make a great poster.
Saul Bass, as a designer, is very creative with his original movie posters. He keeps a basic theme with the three posters I picked with two or three color theme and keeping the simplicity to the viewer. It shows me that you do not have to show a lot detail to show the true nature of the movie for a viewer to want to go see it.
